Revo has the lifting / fish fighting power of spin, with the casting ability and presentation level of a fly blank.
The Revo loads easily and smoothly as a result of the blank’s moderate progressive upper half. It has the lower mid power to deliver a ‘punchy’ cast with exceptional distance and low down power to really fight fish when the angler demands it.
The Revo is also an excellent Walleye and Halibut spin blank. If you’re looking for a more traditional saltwater fly rod blank, then the Affinity X is the way to go. (The Revo saltwater fly rod blank has a lot of power in the butt compared to that of the mid/tip area. When viewing Revo Spin ratings, the line rating indicates the lifting power of the butt area and can be ignored when choosing the blank based on cast weight.)
