The S7 is an easy casting, moderate ‘J curve’ action blank. The moderate tip action loads smoothly and quickly into the mid part of the blank with plenty of power in the butt section. The 13′ S7 is a popular bait rod model for the Hatteras drum fisherman.

I went out last night with the finished rod for the first time. I have to say I’m impressed. The 2oz plugs went bye bye. All I could do was laugh every time I threw a plug.
Loaded, the rod and bombed a 2oz plug. Holy shit!!!! Casting just as far or farther than my heaver set up.
I can’t image throwing 3-4oz.
Not as fast as my century SS1327 but casts just as as far.
