Great feel to this blank, amazed me how light for the length, superb ! Really is great quality for the outlay and I would have no hesitation to purchase the same blank again if/when needed.

This is my 8th Affinity X 7' 6" 3 wt. blank. Folks for whom I have built rods tell me they are the best casting rods they have used. And the ability to create a rod around a colorful blank adds to the pleasure of the build!

Very easy to use, with an almost watery consistency. The drying time is long, but you get the absolutely best, glass-like finish.

Build quality on Affinity M blank is outstanding. Love the new satin army colour, it has a subtle, elite look. The Affinity M has a wonderful, forgiving action and taper.

Good customer support and they really know their products! Rod casts extremely well.

The kit is first class, top of the line components and a beautiful very high quality grip came with the kit. I chose the mamba color for the blank and reel seat insert amazing gorgeous color.
The rod cast and fishes beautifully. For an 8’6” 5 wt. glass rod it feels very light in hand a real joy to fish!

I bought this kit to build my first rod, everything you need is inside and the booklet with instructions is very handy.
I put 4 stars because, the bench wasn’t steady enough for me, so I build my own bench (very easy to do).
But for the rest, everything work just great. I didn’t expect to build such a nice rod for my first attempt. Those kit is what you need to get started.
The cts blanks are very good. I am about to build my fourth rod and order my 3rd blank from cts.

Very nice rod, got me a lot of trouts from the rivers Weißer Regen and Wiesent in Bavaria, Germany.

The parts arrived as expected.

CTS did an excellent job of fitting the new section into the remaining ones on the rod.

The kit was great, the instructions were clear and easy to follow and I've caught good fish with it in the Kimberley and Kiritimati.

I had a problem with the reel seat which required replacement. CTS listened to the problem and decided to replace the whole butt section, including the custom graphics that were on the original order. Their response was timely and I'm now building the new butt section for a forthcoming trip to explore some NZ flats.

Its a great rod and I received fantastic customer support from Megan and the team at CTS.
